As per website:

Welcome to The Art of Making Joyful Art, Arts Etobicoke’s 8-week Seniors Paid Program at Cloverdale Mall.

This course will offer a balance of technical skills as well as insight into the mindset required to make joyful art. Easing in with basic and FUN drawing exercises we will explore how to observe and describe – without judgment and “see” how we approach art with our own unique perspective. A fundamental skill in making art is understanding value. We will be doing a value study in each class looking at the work of Etel Adnan, Kandinsky, Johanne Itten and Vasarely among others. We will learn to make thumbnail sketches and black and white doodles to awaken our creativity. Darlene will bring in something that she is working on to better understand her step by step process. Each class time will be spent on developing a painting either from your own reference, a famous artist or copying/adapting my style.

NOTE: We will work in an environment that feels comfortable to share, learn and be creative in. There will be feedback to facilitate learning.
