Mixed AI Realities: A Cyberfeminist Checkup by North York Central Library - Creation Loft

  • In Person 5120 Yonge Street Toronto, ON, M2N 5N9 Canada (map)

AI may be trending now, but it's been evolving far longer than today's hype suggests. As a digital artist constantly exploring emerging technologies, Innovator in Residence Karen Vanderborght wrestles with complex feelings about AI’s impact on creative practice and society as a whole. This interactive, playful presentation embraces both the absurd and the uncomfortable, inviting you to play charades with machine models, cyborgs and your fellow humans.

Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration is required for this class and begins September 17, 2025 at 12:30pm.

Note: Your spot will not be guaranteed after 5 minutes of the start of the program.

Class is held in the 2nd floor eLearning Lab.

This program is part of the Innovator in Residence (AI and Digital Creativity) program, which is designed to help beginner and intermediate learners build knowledge and creative skills by exploring the latest in AI, with a focus on responsible and ethical use, and its intersections with digital content and innovation.
