As seen on on Eventbrite page for OSSCO:

OSSCO©’s Tele-Learning workshop connects you with ABC Life Literacy, a national charitable organization that champions literacy by empowering adult learners, raising awareness, and supporting the adult learning sector.

This workshop is all about credit, what it is, how to use it wisely, and how to get it under control when you have a lot of debt. You’ll look at different kinds of credit and the cost of borrowing. You’ll also learn about ways to plan ahead for when you need to borrow money. ABC Life Literacy will support you to take better care of yourself by taking better care of your money. When you feel good about your money management, you will have more energy for the things that are important to you!

We will cover:

  • What credit is

  • How credit works

  • What credit can do for you and how to manage it

  • Ways to borrow money

  • How interest affects the amount you owe

  • How to build your credit history and why it’s important

This program is FREE of charge to all Ontarians 55+.
