Understanding Dementia: Prevention, Awareness, and Preparation w/ Dr. Shilpi Gupta

December 4 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Dementia affects memory, thinking, and daily life, but early awareness and lifestyle choices can help reduce the risk and improve quality of life. This workshop will explain the different types of dementia, early warning signs, and how it differs from normal aging. Participants will explore research-backed strategies for brain health, including diet, exercise, mental stimulation, and social engagement. The session will also cover how to prepare for a dementia diagnosis, including legal and financial planning, caregiving resources, and ways to maintain independence for as long as possible. Interactive activities will help seniors recognize early symptoms, create a personal brain health plan, and explore support options for themselves and their loved ones.

Available both online and in person.

Presented by Dr. Shilpi Gupta
